Maker Jeremy put together a cool photobooth hack using a Ricoh camera, a few flashbulbs, and a black and white TV to frame the photos. The entire thing was made of salvaged parts and it’s portable so you can carry it around with you to events. Very, very cool. One more photo apres jump.

A pair of claimed early iPhone prototypes found thir way to eBay and will fetch more than $1,000. Currently at $940 after 45 bids, the double pack is described as rare and collectible, though only one of the two works. The phone that works is pretty neat to use.

If you want to swim like a dolphin? The Geek engineer has developed a dolphin-inspired fin, called Lunocet(about $1,250-$1,500). It is a 2.5-pound (1.1-kilogram) monofin made of carbon fiber and fiberglass that attaches to an aluminum foot plate at a precise 30-degree angle.

Full specifications of Sony’s OLED-display NWZ-X1000-series Walkmans have emerged, courtesy of the Hong Kong SonyStyle store.  The listing confirms the 3-inch WQVGA 432 x 240 OLED display together with the supported file types and maximum resolutions of the media the Walkman will play.

Forget the $10 laptop from India. Down in Venezuala, Hugo Chavez is planning to make a cheap cellphone for his democratically-challenged subjects. The handset, to be named El Vergatario, will cost the equivalent of $14 and will contain an MP3 player, a camera and a radio.

Here is the pico projector from Forever Plus that supports 1,280 x 768 resolution, which is much better than the other models in the market with 800 x 600 or even 640 x 480. I can say this is the best pico projector that I ever know. No word on pricing or availability for this Taiwan-made product.

Mimio is sort of the Midas of the touchscreen world, only, it doesn’t turn things into gold, rather it turns them into touchscreens. Developed as an education tool, the setup process requires installing the software to the computer, attach it to a projector and add an Interactive Bar to the surface.
