World’s largest CMOS image sensor from Canon measures 202 x 205mm

Canon, the worldwide leader in high-end and entry level cameras alike, has unveiled the world’s largest CMOS image sensor measuring 202 x 205mm. Almost 40 times the size of the Canon’s present largest CMOS sensor, this CMOS sensor is produced using 12-inch, 30mm silicon wafer.
