Undersea robot Tethys stays submerged for weeks, collects data autonomously

Undersea robots have come a long way, and the latest to make to the fore is a much faster and advanced robot developed at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute. The new autonomous underwater vehicle dubbed the Tethys takes to the seas much faster and farther that any of its predecessors.
