Nintendo’s CEO Satoru Iwata has announced to investors that the new Nintendo 3DS portable games console will use sleep-WiFi functionality, SpotPass, to deliver and install automatic firmware updates. The automatic updates will be issued in an attempt to protect the games console from piracy.
