DETROIT - Toyota sold 2 million Priuses since 1997, half in the U.S. Here at the Detroit show, Toyota turned Prius into a sub-brand, like Scion, with the unveiling of the subcompact Prius C hybrid, due in 2012. You could think of it as a hybrid Toyota Yaris, at least in terms of size.
