Windows 7 Service Pack 1 finally ready to ship

Microsoft will reveal the Service Pack 1 (SP1) update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is ready for a release later on today, ZDNet learned on Wednesday. Sources said the official RTM (release to manufacturing) announcement is due today, though Microsoft officials haven't yet responded.
