DARPA Loses Hypersonic Glider on Maiden Flight

The maiden flight of DARPA’s Falcon Hypersonic Technology Vehicle 2 (or HTV-2) ended with the loss of the hypersonic glider after just 9 minutes. The Hypersonic Glider capable of speeds of Mach 20 was lost by its tracking systems as DARPA tested the autopilot through a number of maneuvers.

Geeks tend to make all sorts of gear for no other reason than because they can. Such is the case with this cool 8-bit guitar that is made from hacked up parts from an arcade game and some ingenuity. The thing was built by Mike Davenport as a senior project.

It is curiously appropriate that this Pac-Man cutting board is made in the tough, end-grain style. These boards are fashioned from wooden strips glued together with their grain running parallel, and the board itself is a cross-section cut from this master block.

Apple have announced the dates for their Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2010), which will kick off on June 7th 2010 and offer coders the first ever iPad development sessions together with working labs for iPhone OS 4.

It was 1997 and Apple had just released the iMac G3. It was a beautiful interesting computer: a sleek, all-in-one case, with something new called USB. One thing it didn't have was a floppy disk.

A picture of a new ,probably-fake, nokia phone is emerged. Marked as Nokia C2, the picture shows that the phone comes in a strange swivel design with a supposedly a qwerty keyboard and a large display which strangly only boast a QVGA resolution. The ‘Nokia C2′ boast a 2 megapixel camera.

Computer processors today are so much faster than the processors of only a few years ago that it is amazing when you stop and think about it. In the future computers will need to use different technology to be able to continue to advance at the rate we see today.

Sony today teased a new "VAIO New Ultra Mobile" on its Japanese pages. The company provided no clues as to what the new system would entail, including whether it's a sequel to a conventional ultraportable like the VAIO TZ or else a netbook-class device like the VAIO P or VAIO X.

Could this day get any better? The annual Apple Worldwide Developers Conference is happening on June 7. I suspect the iPhone HD or whatever it will be called will be there and it will be protected by robots and ninjas.

Apple [AAPL] has just announced the dates for this years WWDC , it will take place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Apple are likely to reveal their fourth generation iPhone or iPhone 4G which we have heard so much about over the last ten days due to the leaked iPhone prototype.
