The Samsung BD-UP5000 Blu-ray player has finally received its latest firmware update version 1.5. The v1.5 update promises to improve “playback compatibility in some movies” such as the Avatar Blu-ray playback issue that was non-playable due to the new encryption scheme.

The European Southern Observatory will construct the world’s largest telescope in Chile. They’re calling it the European Extremely Large Telescope, and it’s being constructed in Chile because the night sky there is totally clear some 320 days per year.
