I read an excellent piece on Half-Life 2 the other day over at Action Button that compared its learning curve to Super Mario Bros. The idea was that all the gameplay mechanics are presented and demonstrated naturally to the player, in a way that is both informative and fun.

In spite of ongoing network upgrades, dropped calls are only getting worse on AT&T's cellular network, a study by ChangeWave claims. Having polled 4,040 North Americans in March, the research group says that an average of 4.5 percent of calls made within the previous 90 days were dropped.

Memory and storage media maker OCZ has revealed its latest external drive, the Enyo Portable SSD, with the new high-speed USB 3.0 interface. The device is deliberately much sleeker than the usual external drive and matches this with the faster USB 3.0 interface, which is rated at 5Gbps.
