Pandigital has leapt into e-readers in significant fashion today by launching the Novel. Rather than opt for e-paper, the photo frame maker has opted to go directly to a 7-inch, 800×600 capacitive touchscreen LCD and enters into the tablet arena as a result.

It seems like every time I think battery recalls for notebooks are over, they start back up again. There were huge recalls back in 2008 on notebook batteries that were overheating and posed a fire risk.

Yesterday CNN published a short story proving that Apple have some severe delivery problems when it comes to the new iPad. 50 out of 50 Apple stores had no 3G iPads in stock, 37 out of 50 stores had no WiFi or 3G ipads, and 13 out of 50 stores had a few WiFi ipads in stock.

Laserdisc was a video format that was quite big in Asia in the 1980/1990’s. It was never a hit in Europe, and in USA 2% (roughly two million units) of the households had a Laserdisc player. Here’s a couple of shots from one of my old Laserdiscs (Star Wars) that I took today.

We just saw a great product at the TC Disrupt Hack Day. It’s basically a class action lawsuit generator against AT&T that uses your actual call drop data to tabulate how manyntimes your phone crashed and how many times you’ve been generally hosed by AT&T.
