One of the things that had a lot of iPad users in an uproar when the device first hit the market was the fact that it needed more power to charge than the typical USB port offered. The average USB port only has 0.5A while the iPad needs 1.2A to charge.

The Acer Liquid Stream was spotted at the Google [GOOG] I/O event last week. No details were provided at I/O about the Android based smartphone.More details have now arrived about the Acer Liquid Stream that indicate it will be launched as late as October this year.

I have wondered why that most computers I see only have two USB 3.0 ports. I didn’t think to consider the reason was because the USB 3.0 host controllers inside the machines only supported a pair of USB 3.0 ports.

Samsung has introduced four new professional notebooks in two new series, along with one new business-oriented netbook on Wednesday. There are the 15.6-inch P580 and 14-inch P480 in the P80 Premium series, the 14-inch P430 and 15.6-inch P530 in the P30 Essential series and the NB30 Pro netbook.

Apple passed a symbolic milestone today as its market cap passed Microsoft's for the first time. Beginning in the morning, the total value of Apple's shares was higher, reaching $225.7 billion at 3PM Wednesday afternoon where Microsoft had dropped to $223.4 billion.
