This particular item isn’t exactly a bargain buy — large-format digitals will run you upwards of $40,000, and this one was custom-designed by a Swiss studio called Estragon. I just loved the square outline. Somebody buy me one.

HTC is reportedly preparing an updated version of its Smart handset, an unnamed source has told Cellpassion. The revision, expected to be named Smart2, is said to maintain the same overall form, but with the addition of Wi-Fi connectivity and Office applications for creating and editing documents...

Vudu wrapped up its week in high fashion on Friday by marking the shipping of several devices that use its video streaming service. The Toshiba BDX2500 and BDX2700 provide access to 1080p movies from Vudu's service as well as CinemaNow and Netflix.

Apple in a new ChangeWave study still topped customer happiness rankings but was met by relatively close competition from Motorola. The iPhone still led with 77 percent very satisfied, but the Droid helped Motorola grab a surprise 64 percent.

AT&T is bracing itself for the new iPhone with a long-anticipated insurance plan for the iPhone. A leak Friday said the plan, MobileProtect, would cost $14 per month but would cover the cost of an iPhone if accidentally broken.
