iPhone 4 is announced. After a couple of months of speculations, Steve Jobs finally announcing the iPhone 4. Bring lots of enhancement compared to iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 now packs the so called ‘Retina Display’ which offer 4X overall pixel count at 960 x 640 resolution on its IPS dispay.

The iPad makes a great comic-book reader. The 9.7-inch screen may not be quite as big a a standard paper page (around 12.2-inches), but the easy zooming actually makes the story easier to read.

Foxconn offers 66% raise after suicide pressure

Foxconn employees, with the help of Apple, will receive a 66 percent raise. The increase will raise the average salary from $132 a month to about $292, an impressive number. There is a required performance review period for three months before the raises will be doled out.

Foxconn has been making headlines in a bad way this year with a number of its workers committing suicide. The rash of suicides has lead to investigations by Apple into work conditions and the opening of the factory to reporters to see the factory conditions for themselves.

Foxconn today promised still another raise to its factory workers to head off continued suicides at the company. The Chinese firm will pay 66 percent more to workers on top of the earlier 30 percent raise depending on their performance.
