We spent quite a few posts on the uber-cool, gigantic Gundam statue that was erected in Tokyo Bay last year. The 60-foot robot statue was deconstructed in September, with Bandai quickly announcing plans to re-erect the big guy in Shizuoka soon. And now he’s almost ready.

The Jimmy Fallon show last night had the Microsoft Kinect being demonstrated. The Kinect is a new device from Microsoft [MSFT] that uses a camera system to track your body movements and basically use you as the controller.The demonstration looks quite good.

Amazon has lowered the price of the Amazon Kindle bringing from $259 down to just $189. It is believed that the price drop was in response to Barnes & Noble dropping the Nook down from $299 to $199 just recently although Amazon hasn't confirmed if this was what sparked the price drop.The...

Motorola has announced an interesting new wireless access point that is designed to be very small and unobtrusive in a room. The device is called the AP6511 802.11n WallPlate access point. The device is designed to extend WiFi access to multi-room facilities like hotels, hospitals, and offices.

My favorite video game genre is the first person shooter. I started playing them on the PC years and years ago back when you couldn’t get a FPS title on a console. Now that pretty much all FPS games are on the console, I still prefer the PC.

Acer is the second largest computer maker in the world and is more known for its notebooks and netbooks that desktop machines. Acer does make desktops for consumers and businesses though and the latest consumer offerings were unveiled yesterday including the Aspire M3 and X3.

Iomega unveiled a new line of external portable HDDs called the Iomega Skin branded HDDs. The line of drives has 500GB of storage space and all use USB 2.0 connectivity. The HDDs get all the power they need for the USB port as well. The Skin series come in three different styles.

Amazon today dropped the price of the Kindle to $189 from its previous $259. The drop is virtually the first since the switchover to the international Kindle and is an obvious reaction to the cheaper Nook 3G, which now costs $10 more.

That was fast. Hours after Barnes & Noble introduced a Wi-Fi only version of its Nook e-reader and dropped the price of its 3G device to $199, Amazon responded by dropping the price of its Kindle e-book reader from $259 to $189.

If I should pick one game that you should get for your iPhone I would definitely go for Angry Birds. It’s really addictive and lots of fun. A few minutes Clickgamer launched the new version 1.3.3 with 15 new levels (level 8).

It’s the season for price drops, it seems. Right on the heels of Barnes & Noble announcing the 3G-capable nook would get a price drop (with the addition of a new, WiFi-only model), Amazon has followed suit.
