Acer has debuted a new line of displays for computers that are ultra-thin and have green features to save power and take up less space on the desk. The new line of displays use LED backlights and are very slim with profiles 13mm to 15mm thick.

The same destiny is spelled for Mac Pros as well, or at least so we have it and so shows the fact that, as with iMacs, Mac Pro is skipping on a number of important new features so far.

Yahoo Japan and Google have signed a deal which will see search results provided to Yahoo Japan users. Yahoo Japan will use the Google search results but will not uses Google’s technology for supplying the accompanying search advertisements.

It seems that Google’s Android platform is becoming more popular in the UK, according to analysts GfK Retail and Technology, who are reporting that Android smartphone sales are up 350 percent for the second quarter of 2010, over the 1st quarter.
