Now that a new patent has shown its face on the Internet, and we know that the Kinect is fully capable of recognizing sign language (which just opens so many doors, it’s almost ridiculous), why don’t we take a look inside the device itself?

The mystery $150 Augen Android tablet at Kmart is using a bootleg copy of Android, Google said in a response this afternoon. The GenTouch78 is using software it shouldn't have from an "unauthorized vendor" and has bypassed the usual legal channels.

Some new information was gleaned on the upcoming Samsung Cetus Windows Phone 7 smartphone. Thanks to an FCC filing, it's now known that the handset will have support for the 850MHz and 1900MHz 3G bands, both of which are needed for AT&T.

Toshiba on Friday said it would launch its twin-screen Libretto W100 Windows 7-powered tablet PC on August 11. The final prices haven't been announced, but it will cost $1,099 when it reaches the US. It remains a special edition and may sell quickly....
