Apple is edging closer to a Verizon iPhone in January with a large order of CDMA chipsets, insiders reportedly said on Sunday. The company is queuing up "millions" of Qualcomm chipsets for a production run to start in December.

HTC's just recently unearthed Desire HD may have already been seen through a snapshot with new info. The phone will still run on a 1GHz Snapdragon and an 800x480 display but will use a larger 4.3-inch screen and an aluminum unibody frame like the Legend.
