RED shows working Scarlet camera

On the company's official forums, RED has shown off a working version of its long-expected and delayed Scarlet. There is also a link to a movie (MOV) that illustrates the fast autofocus function of the camera, as it's controlling an 85mm Canon lens in Single Shot AF mode.

A new Student Monitor study revealed this weekend that almost half of college students getting a notebook plan to buy Macs. Of the 87 percent of prospective buyers, 47 percent plan to get some form of MacBook.

There are hints this week that the iPad, iPhone and Apple TV will be updated in early 2011. It's isn't really a risky guess, since they're all likely to be updated within the next nine months (heck, September is nearly here, so let's toss in the iPod, too).

AT&T may take advantage of its last days of iPhone exclusivity to reclaim the top spot in US carriers by next year, IE Market Research said today in a new study. AT&T's higher growth rate over its rival Verizon in the spring was a sign to analysts that it should claim the lead by spring 2011.

HP is now shipping the Mini 5103 pro netbook, which was just introduced last week in Europe. The 10.1-inch netbook can be had with a display resolution of 1024x600 or 1366x768, and capacitive multitouch layer can be added to the latter as well.
