Lightroom Update Finally Allows Catalog Imports, Adds FaceBook

Adobe has made available a new beta version of its Lightroom RAW photo editing software. It adds support for a lot of new cameras and old lenses, but more importantly, it squashes roughly a gazillion bugs. RAW photo editors need to add-in support for every new camera which is released.

Finally. The Droid 2 is finally official. Finally. Thank jebus. The Android 2.2 handset will be available from Verizon’s online store tomorrow and in stores this Thursday. It carries a $199 price after a $100 MIR and of course requires a data plan. Care to wait a bit longer?

Toshiba today said it had developed a new technique to make self-encrypting hard drives truly secure. Known just as Wipe, it would let companies and individuals flag the internal encryption key so that it's automatically erased if the system is shut down or if the drive is removed.

We have seen our share of kooky iPad docks around these parts and they just keep coming. The latest DIY iPad dock comes from designer Jonas Damon. Damon is the creative director at the New York Frog Design office. The iPad dock is made from wood and looks like an early CRT TV.
