Droid Eris Phone is Reborn as a Disney Tour Guide

HTC’s Droid Eris phone is getting a second lease on life as a tour guide in a Disney amusement park. Disney has taken the smartphone, added a frame around it to turn it into a device running an app that shows wait times for rides, offers discounts and indicates show times at the park.

Apple's long rumored CDMA iPhone is now more than just a skunkworks project and has a codename, tips revealed this evening. John Gruber now understands that the device is known internally as N92 and is already at the Engineer Validation Test (EVT) stage.

Apple [AAPL] will be holding an annual event mid-September according to AllThingsD.This particular event has been held every year since 2005 and is expected to run next month. Items expected to be announced are the new iPod touch 4 with the Retina Display and the dual cameras for FaceTime.

I’m starting to like 2K Games more and more. First, they launch the incredibly fun Borderlands. Then, they proceed to make mountains of DLC, in a market where most companies prefer to sell what should be DLC as a whole new game (I’m looking at you, Left4Dead2).

I’m all for eReaders. I think the direction they are heading will again transform technology’s role in media, communications and curriculum. No doubtedly Sony wants to go in the direction of having more people adopt their eReader lifestyle. As to how, we may have now received some enlightenment.

Here’s something neat. It’s the first camcorder/projector. The Ordro HDV-D350S seems like a pretty cool gadget, that is of course if this nearly $800 device works well. The Ordro is a full HD 1080p camcorder. Equipped with a 3.0” LCD capturing 12.0MP digital stills from a 10X optical zoom.
