Meet Phasma, a cool, six-legged robot made by Tokyo-based design and engineering firm takram. The battery-powered insectoid can be remote-controlled and is technically based on a iSprawl, a robot developed at Stanford University.

XFX has been selling video cards for a long time and for much of that time it was all NVIDIA. XFX now also sells ATI video cards and the company has unveil a cool new single slot HD 5770 option for gamers needing performance in confined space. The video card is available now in a couple models.

I quite like the fact that Lady Gaga has designed the camera and without even looking at it, I am expecting it to be as quirky as her. And, when I look at Polaroid Corporation’s newly launched Polaroid 300, the instant camera, I must say, she has done a fairly good job.

HP offered up its Q3 financials yesterday and posted net revenue of $30.7 billion. That number represents a growth of 11.4% of $3.1 billion from the same quarter of 2009. HP has already announced this week that the anticipated webOS tablet would be coming in early 2011.

Ricoh isn’t a name known for cameras here in the US, but over in Japan the company has a digital camera set to launch on September 3 called the CX4. The camera is a point and shoot that will ship in black, silver champagne and purple colors.

A company called PowerPhone has announced that it has been issued a patent for software that sends images to 911 operators from non-traditional callers such as those on cell phones. The patent is titled “Integrated Call Handler and E-Mail Systems and Methods” and is number 7,764,769.
