Bell axes HTC Legend due to display shortages

The HTC Legend that arrived at Canadian provider Bell in mid-June has already been discontinued. According to a screenshot sent to MobileSyrup, this is due to an ongoing parts shortage, which is more than likely to mean the device's 3.2-inch AMOLED screen.

Knowing nothing else, I’d say that this year’s IFA show in Germany (think CES, but European) will be all about tablets and e-readers. All the tablets I’ve seen thus far have been sorta “meh,” but I’m reasonably bullish on e-readers, if only because I actually find them useful.

A pair of successors to Sony's Alpha A550 have been leaked thanks to Sony Alpha Rumors. The A580 is said to have a 16-megapixel sensor while the A560 would sport a 14-megapixel one. In comparison, the A550 had a 14.2-megapixel sensor, but all have an ISO range of between 100 and 12,800....
