Seagate release a hybrid hard disk drive called Seagate Momentus XT come with 4GB SLC flash memory, 7200 rpm, and 2.5-inch dimension. It has transfer rate 118MB/sec for writing and 89MB/s for reading speed. Seagate Momentus XT claims the buffer give 80% performance rather than regular 7200-rpm HDD.
