A recent patent application filed by RIM at the USPTO suggest the BlackBerry device maker is working on a convertible handset. It would allow users to control the hardware with either a QWERTY keyboard or numeric keypad and is dubbed as a handheld electronic device with rotatable member.

South Korean companies are vowing to introduce other tablet offerings to combat the iPad, which could ship to the country very soon, writes Agence France-Presse. The country's top wireless carrier, SK Telecom, is hedging much of its bets on the Samsung Galaxy Tab, a 7-inch Android-based tablet.

Verizon has began releasing a software update for the original Motorola Droid that will allow users to download Flash Player 10.1 from the Android Market. The Droid was recently updated with Android 2.2 but did not have Flash 10.1 support until now.

Novero is a company that makes some very nice Bluetooth headsets and hands free devices for talking on your phone while you are driving. The only downside to these devices is that you have to remember to charge them up. Cars that come from the factory with Bluetooth don’t need to charge.

Scientists at the University of Liverpool report that they have created dry water. That is, a mostly normal drop of wet water is surrounded by a coating of sandy silica, creating, basically, powdered water. Don’t expect to be able to pour yourself a nice tall glass of dry water, though.
