Briefly: Verizon 15Mbps DSL, Grace weatherproof speakers

Verizon has launched a new DSL tier that gives subscribers 10Mbps to 15Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream. The new internet service is priced at $60 per month, while customers who also have a voice plan with Verizon will receive a discounted price of $50 per month.

Korea has their first Android tablet. Called the “Identity TAB”, the new device runs a 1GHz Snapdragon cpu, and sports 8GB of internal memory. The tablet has a 7-inch screen, a DMB TV tuner, gyro-sensor, a 3 megapixel camera, and an SD card reader.

The EPA is revising the window stickers seen on new cars to more accurately reflect the capabilities of electric and hybrid vehicles. They’re also proposing, rather boldly, that a big fat letter grade head the sticker, ranging from A+ (for plug-in electric vehicles) to D (for Veyrons and R8s).

Sony Ericsson UK has announced, via Twitter, that it will send out the Android 2.1 update to its XPERIA X10 handsets in September. Such a release was rumored back in April, and would upgrade the phone's existing Android 1.6 OS.

I checked both the US and the UK store and both have updated shipping information for all iPad versions – they now ship within 24hrs. That means that we will see more countries selling iPads very soon!
