Section: Gadgets / Other, ebooks We heard the rumors, and it looks like they have come true—Sony has officially offered up a refresh on their Reader device lineup. With that, we now have the Pocket Edition PRS-350, the Touch Edition PRS-650 and the Daily Edition PRS-950.

The theme of many of my conversations with reporters the past week was centered on the question of whether or not the iPod is still relevant. I maintained that there was still a large market for the iPod and Apple verified that today when they shared that they have sold 275 Million iPods to date.

Steve Jobs announced iTunes 10 today, complete with a new logo. The core interface does not receive much tweaking, however in the list view there is a hybrid view where if you have more than 5 songs from the same album, it will show you the album artwork.

And if the iPod line-up is getting a refresh, shouldn’t iTunes? Of course it should, and that’s exactly what Apple have done. They also announced it today, too. No surprise there, right? Thew new software only expands on what Apple has made so great, and famous, over the last few years.

During today's Apple event, Steve Jobs announced that the next version of the iPad flavor of iOS, 4.2, will be available as a free update in November 2010. The iOS 4.2 version will support the iPhone and iPod touch (4.0 friendly versions of those devices) in addition to the iPad.

Fujifilm has launched a new 3D digital camera called the Fujifulm W3. The W3 is a follow on from the original W1 that launched a while back. Features on the new Fujifilm W3 include a 3.5 inch glasses free LCD display. A HDMI 1.4 output is also included.

Chances are Apple is releasing an updated version of its Apple TV product today, but it might not use the heavily rumored iTV name. Instead, the new product might keep the original name of Apple TV.  At least that Australian Macworld is saying, which makes us wonder where the iTV name came from.
