XtremeMac on Wednesday launched two new audio docks for the iPod and iPhone, the Luna SST and 3 in 1 Microdock. The former has dual alarms and sports a detachable speaker for flexibility in its location, such as on each nightstand on the sides of a bed.

Plug in your iPhone or iPod into your computer and you’ll get the new iOS 4.1 update. It was launched just recently and includes HD video upload, the new Game Center, TV show rentals, HDR photography, a faster iPhone 3G OS and a few bug fixes.

As expected, Apple is now deploying iOS 4.1 to iPhones and iPods via iTunes. The firmware incorporates a variety of anticipated changes, such as support for Game Center, Apple's Xbox Live-like gaming service.

When people come over to my apartment, they gather after a few minutes that I like games, because there is a Super Nintendo on my coffee table. But they’d probably figure it out a lot quicker if my coffee table was an actual, functioning NES the size of a normal table.

This morning, I headed over to the Apple Store and picked up a sweet little green iPod nano to play with. (Thank you, red-headed Molly!) The nano is basically the size and weight of a 2G shuffle, with a cute little touch screen and a couple of buttons for volume control and Sleep/Wake.
