Samsung Electronics is working on a 1 gigabit mobile DRAM with a wide I/O interface that uses 50 nanometer class process technology. This new mobile DRAM is designed to be used in mobile applications such as smartphones and tablet PCs. The new DRAM is able to transmit data at 12.8GB per second.
