Cell phone giant Nokia has shown off a concept phone that uses a heat-conductive charging system to fill up its battery when in a user's pocket. Dubbed E-Cu, for Environment and Copper, the handset converts body heat into energy. The concept was designed by London resident Patrick Hyland....

Low supplies of aging Apple models have traditionally indicated a hardware refresh, and the latest herd to run thin is the great wild MacBook Air. Few retailers have any, and those asking for resupply are being told not to expect any until the week of October 12th at the earliest.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple will start manufacturing a Verizon-ready iPhone by the end of this year, with sales to start early 2011. Based on the iPhone 4, the new phone would leverage CDMA technology instead of the GSM 3G mobile technology used by AT&T.

Tango is a video and audio chatting app that does what FaceTime should have done. It works on a 3G (or a 4G) network. This free app was released last week and I have been testing it over the weekend. It performs pretty much as advertised using it on my iPhone 4.

Logitech this afternoon unveiled the Revue, the company's set top Google TV box. The Logitech Revue with Google TV (its full name) gives users access to TV and Web content, and features. The box hooks up directly to HDMI-ready sets, using the including HDMI cable.
