The guys over at Nerd Kits have made a cool Human Theremin project that uses Infrared Light. IR light from an infrared LED is bounced off someones hand and some of the light is reflected back onto an infrared transistor.

Watch maker Phosphor has beaten Seiko's model to market with the first watch that uses an E Ink low power display, the World Time Curved E Ink. The display consumes much less power than an LCD or LED but is still programmable to show time and date, time only, or two time zones simultaneously.

I just got back from New York Comic Con at the Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. It's only Friday, but boy howdy is the place a madhouse--there are lines, crowds, and costumes everywhere, and if past years are any indication, it's only going to get more crazy on Saturday and Sunday.
