DeNA buys iOS game developer Ngmoco – brings Android to the mix

Ngmoco, the hardcore iOS developer announced that it has been acquired by japanese DeNA for about $400 million, ngmoco has numerous social games for the iOS platform and was one of the first company funded by the KPCB’s ifund and recently received a small investment from Google ($5 million).

Apple this afternoon seeded the Developer Center with iOS 4.2 beta 3 and its companion desktop app iTunes 10.1 beta 2. The releases don't include any immediate change notes but come exactly on Apple's familiar two-week schedule, after beta 2 in late September.

A Japanese developer, DeNA, is buying American outfit ngmoco in a deal which could be worth up to $403 million, according to Reuters. At least $303 million is being offered in cash, shares and stock options, while the remaining amount is contingent on ngmoco's 2011 sales.

The BlackBerry Style is coming to Sprint. According to BGR, the device temporarily codenamed as the Oxford will be a Sprint-exclusive, but that isn't to say the Style will not be coming to other providers, such as Canada's Bell and Telus. The Style would arrive at Sprint on October 31 in gray....
