Apple has won a limited though significant US patent on pinch-to-zoom gestures for multi-touch devices, reports say. A filing was originally submitted in December 29th, 2006, just days before the announcement of the first iPhone at Macworld.

Adding to the already bloated CDMA iPhone rumor mill, The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that Apple is in talks with Reliance Communications Ltd and Tata Teliservices Ltd to bring the much-talked-about CDMA equipped iPhone to India.

Nokia's N8 costs just as much as an iPhone 4 to make despite wildly varying device prices, iSuppli estimated on Wednesday. The two smartphones were in a dead heat as the N8's parts and assembly were put at $187.47, or just four cents lower than Apple's phone.

TiVo will launch a new Season Pass Manager feature online later on Wednesday. This will let them better manage their season pass subscriptions on multiple TiVo broadband-connected set-top boxes, add new ones or delete old ones. The existing system doesn't let users set up season passes online....
