Apple may be in the very earliest phases of a possible buyout of Spotify, a rumor floated this evening claimed. The discussions were billed as so early that fixed prices and term sheets weren't ready, with involvement an "on-again, off-again" process.

The US Army may be capable of sending surveillance video images from aircraft drones to troops' cellphones within two years, a Tuesday report said. Called the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), it should send images from the battlefield to soldiers waiting on the ground.
