I was blown away when I first saw Rana Sobhany on stage. With nothing more than 2 iPads and a mixer, Rana was mixing tracks and busting beats live in front of the hundreds of attendees at AdAge’s IDEA conference.

British photographer David Sims is rumored to have been shooting a TV ad for the next generation iPad in New York City recently. According to 9to5 Mac, the shoot took place at Pier 59. As with most rumors, details are few and far between.

Sources speaking to AllThingsD say Boxee is attempting to raise between $10 and $15 million in funds. The company, which lets users watch online TV in their living rooms, will likely receive half of this money from existing investors such as Union Square, Spark and General Catalyst.

South Korea's KT Corporation will begin taking iPad pre-orders "this week." Initially banned by the Korea Communications Commission, the iPad eventually passed inspection and has been highly anticipated by customers. KT Corp. hopes to begin shipments in November.

AT&T may add its first non-Motorola Android slider phone as an FCC filing has shown the HTC Promise. The phone is likely to target the low end of Android smartphones as it has a relatively small touchscreen and a 3.2-megapixel camera, although it should have GPS and Wi-Fi.
