Pentax has responded to customer demand for a concept by announcing it will soon release a limited run of specially multi-colored versions of its K-r DSLR camera. The camera's specs remain the same as the regular version, though it's paired with a new 35mm, f2.4 prime lens.

Barnes & Noble has now released a software development kit for the Nook Color e-reader. The Nook Color runs on Android 2.1 and is compatible with the Android SDK, but the book giant has released Nook SDK 1.0 to help developers create apps for the device.

Verizon hits back at AT&T claims about 4G, says 3G improving

Verizon today answered criticism from AT&T of its LTE-based 4G rollout. Carrier spokesman Howard Waterman rebuffed claims by AT&T CTO John Donovan and spokespeople that the Verizon network would provide a "jarring speed degradation" on 3G by pointing to the quality of its service.

In a press release today, Samsung Mobile reported that according to sales numbers in Q3 2010 collected by Gartner, they're now the number one Android smartphone provider in the United States, and that the Samsung Galaxy S line of handsets just hit the three million mark.

Well look at that! Samsung just sold 1 million units, which isn’t too shabby. We liked the Gal Tab plenty, so it’s good that it’s gaining some traction. Samsung hopes to sell at least 1.5 million by the end of the year, a noble goal.

Level 3 today rejected Comcast's denials in a video access dispute with a new FAQ. The network provider directly accused Comcast of lying about the nature of the fight and said it was a basic interconnection issue between the two rather than a "peering dispute" as Comcast had argued.
