Atasuki probe reaches Venus in search of strong winds

Japan’s Atasuki probe has finally reached Venus, with scientists anxiously awaiting news on whether it has successfully entered orbit around the planet. If so, Atasuki will circle Venus for two years, monitoring volcanic activity and providing data on its thick cloud cover and climate.

Amazon late Monday said it would preview a version of Kindle for the Web on Tuesday that will show full books. Previously limited to samples, the embedded technology won't insist on reading offline and will also decentralize shopping.

I'll be honest, at the expense of disagreeing with some of you: I don't really like Angry Birds. Sure, I'll admit it's a quality app, and I obviously can't deny all of those sales. But personally, it's just not my game -- I don't find it nearly as fun as some of the other games on the App Store.

Toys R Us has a strange game that is for the iPad with equal parts of software app and real world board game. The game is called Yoomi Duo and has a round chip holder that puts chips into the right bin based on answered given in the game.
