Flix On Stix does what it says on the label. You jam a USB stick or SD-card into one of its kiosks and pick a movie, game or TV show. The “flick” is then transferred to your “stick” and you can take it home to enjoy it.

Japanese provider NTT DoCoMo has just launched a pilot project in its home country that has it outfitting 820 Tokyo cabs with free Wi-Fi for patrons. A smaller number, 100 of the cars, will also have Sony PSPs in the back for the enjoyment of passengers.

AT&T today reiterated increasing clues that the iPhone's US exclusivity deal was coming to an end. CFO Richard Lindner at the UBS Media and Communications Conference on Tuesday stressed that there was no such thing as a permanent exclusive and that the company had a diversity of phones to pick.

The world domination of the iPhone continues as Apple has overtaken Nokia to be the number one smartphone vendor in Australia. According to analysts reported by The Sydney Morning Herald, Apple accounts for 36.5 percent of the smartphone market versus Nokia's 30.5 percent share.
