Amazon have seemingly outed an upcoming compact camera, the 12-megapixel Samsung TL320, whose relatively unique feature is a 3-inch OLED display.  The TL320 - which Samsung are yet to officially announce - has a 5x wide-angle zoom lens, together with Schneider optics.

While we failed to find much of anything at the Circuit City liquidation sales, apparently a whole bunch of other people did. The liquidator overlords are reporting that they managed to sell more than $1 billion of Circuit City’s inventory at these sales.

Ricoh in Japan today announced the CX-1 compact digi cam (press release in English), an update to the R-10 released last year. The CX1 comes with a 9 megapixel 1/2.3″ type CMOS sensor and a 7.1x optical zoom lens.  Shooting up to 120 frames/s at 640×480 pixel resolution is possible.

More environment-friendly handsets will be released in the near future. One of these mobile phones is the Coral-200-Solar from Digicel Group and ZTE. This solar-powered phone will be available in selected market in June 2009. Sadly, there is no info on the specs so far. Stay tuned for more updates.
