NASA's Fermi telescope has detected a massive explosion in space which scientists claim is the largest gamma-ray burst ever detected, AFP reports. The blast produced energies ranging from 3,000 to more than five billion times that of visible light, astrophysicists said.

According to Digitimes, Lenovo is planning to announce the IdeaPad S20 which is said to replace the IdeaPad S10. The Ideapad S10 Laptop will feature a Atom N280 processor with Intel’s GN40 chipset and a 12-inch LCD display. The Laptop will runs Windows XP and will be priced at about $586.

Sprint Nextel has bagged exclusive carrier rights for the Palm's much anticipated new phone Pre till the end of the year, according to CNBC which cited an anonymous source. The Pre is expected to launch by the middle of the year, which would give Sprint a six to nine month hold on the phone.

I kind of hope this is some sort of sick, twisted joke but apparently a 14-year-old boy in China was recently killed when the pneumatic gas cylinder – the thing that controls the vertical height adjustment — in his chair exploded, sending fragments of the chair into his rectum.
