Sony demos 13-inch flexible e-paper

Sony at a green technology expo has shown a 13-inch flexible e-paper display. The panel would use E Ink and, based on the demo, could show textbooks or other large publications. The company wouldn't tell Tech-On what resolution it used but suggested it could replace paper outright....

Best Buy today confirmed that its rumored free iPhone 3GS deal is now live. Apple's 8GB phone is free on Friday for those who both visit in-store and who qualify. Although not mentioned, the deal should include both new two-year contracts, second lines and those eligible for a full upgrade....

Bad news for members of the newspaper industry that expect to use digital media to save their print editions. A recent survey from the Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI) shows that iPad owners are more likely to read news on their iPad than a printed newspaper.
