Silverline Audio has released a new high-end passive studio monitor, called the SR20. The SR20 is fairly compact at 15.75" H x 10.5" W x 12.5" D, but it weighs in at a hefty 42lbs.

Grace Digital Audio has released a new speaker ball designed for summer pool parties. Unlike some other speaker balls such as the Pieter Maes concept, the Aqua Sounder puts its shape to practical use - it floats. LED "mood lights" make it look more than a little like a leftover prop from Wall-E.

Benchmark has released yet another update to its venerable DAC1 line. The new flagship DAC1 HDR is the most feature packed (and expensive) DAC1 product yet. The big new feature over the previous DAC1 Pre is what Benchmark calls its "HDR-VC" (High Dynamic Range Volume Control).

According to Microsoft’s Partner Program website, we’ll see Windows 7 RC drop on May 5th for the public. There were reports that MSDN subscribers were able to download the new Windows 7 version, but it turns out to have been a slip up on Microsoft’s part by posting a page early.

I’ve been tempted to get one of these things for a long time, but generally they cost about twice as much as this one (MSRP is $60). This deal at ZipZoomFly has it at $35 with a $15 mail-in rebate and shipping is free, which makes it the cheapest I’ve ever seen.

I’ve got a Maglite in the closet because it doubles as a bludgeon, but I think I might get a couple of these to keep around just in case. They only cost 5 bucks, so you could get a dozen and be set for life.

Capitalizing on the fact that water is non-compressible, this wrench instantly adjusts to any size nut or bolt that fits in its little — I don’t know the technical term, so I’m just going to call it its wrench-hole. Uh oh, here comes the science!
