Samsung has added a new MP3 player to their range with the launch of the Samsung Popcorn U5. The Samsung Popcorn U5 MP3 Player features a built in OLED screen, and also a built in pedometer which tracks how far you walk, and also how far you cycle, which is pretty cool.

Recent news that Palm are tipped to be working with the Wall Street Journal to announce the Pre’s launch date on May 19th, and word that Best Buy are expecting stock of the distinctive Touchstone inductive charger on June 7th has again fueled speculation that the smartphone is imminent.

Today in Baltimore, I think, AirTran announced that it would become the first fleet in the US to have Wi-Fi on every flight. Equipped with Aircell’s Gogo service, AirTran will outfit all 136 Boeing 737 and 717s by mid-summer.

White Industries’ Urban Platform is a rather neat-looking pedal, styled for classical pedals but also looking very modern-industrial. The aluminum pedals have a 17-4 stainless steel spindle inside and something called “bronze acorn nuts”. I didn’t ask.

Sony have announced UK pricing for their OLED Walkman X, which will land in stores tomorrow.  Two versions of the Walkman X will be available - 16GB and 32GB - priced at £209 ($319) and £270 ($412) respectively, though we’re expecting US prices (whenever they’re announced) to be lower.
