Averatec has just announced a gigantic all-in-one PC for $999. This one’s a doozy, folks. A doozy in a good way. The D1200 series features a 25.5-inch LCD monitor with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.5GHz CPU, 320GB hard drive, and 4GB of RAM nestled snugly behind it.

Acer has showed off its latest smartphone at Computex 2009 in Taipei, Taiwan. The Acer M900 comes equipped with a finger recognition function, a 3.8-inch touchscreen display, and a QWERTY keyboard. The handset also supports e-mail and internet access.

I’m much too “handy,” wink wink, with a computer to personally care about Epix, the movie studios’ latest attempt to take the Internet head-on. It’s part cable TV channel and part 720p Internet streaming, and it’s run by Paramount, MGM, and Lionsgate.
