Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer let one rip last week when he casually mentioned that there would be new 360 hardware in 2010. This news was quickly scrapped when Product Manager Aaron Greenberg said that he was talking about Natal and not new hardware. But doesn’t it make sense?

Samsung has presented the LD220 during World IT Show 2009 in Korea. It is touted as the world’s first USB monitor for laptops. The LD220 provides a brightness level of 300cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 30,000:1 and a response speed of 5ms. Pricing or availability info are still unavailable.

Sony have announced a new VAIO laptop, the NW-series, packing a 15.5-inch WXGA XBRITE display, 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 processor and an optional Blu-ray drive.  The Sony VAIO NW is also being priced competitively: the standard model is $800, while adding Blu-ray to that is just $80 more.

Acer has launched two now monitors which are designed to use less power than standard LCD monitors, both of these new green LCDs use 36% less power than previous Acer models. There is a 19 inch version, the V193WBbmd and the V223WBbmd which is a 22 inch version.
