Apple has rejected the fully functional and licensed version of the Commodore 64 emulator for the iPhone and while we don’t find this something new we are pulling our hair because having this kind of application will only help cement the iPhone suppremacy in the mobile market.

T-Mobile has announced the MyTouch, the company’s second Googlephone, and on paper it is smaller, lighter and just plain better. The biggest change between the MyTouch and the original Android handset - the G1 - is the physical QWERTY keyboard. It’s gone, replaced by an-onscreen soft keyboard.

There's a plastic look to it, which suggests a jaunty headline like "Try sleeping through this!" would bear its fixed grin weakly. Vat19's "Fire Bell" alarm clock clearly offers only the lesser bedlam of a looping, 4-bit sample of a fire bell.

Apple must be sick of constantly apologizing for the bad behaviour of its iPhone business partner AT&T. Time after time it messes up — no tethering or MMS on the 3GS launch day, a botched 3G launch a year ago — and Apple has to mop up after it.
