Cablevision quietly starts up Network DVR in the Bronx

Cablevision has now launched its DVR-Plus service in the Bronx in New York, first introduced early last year. It's also available only to subscribers who opt for Cablevision's Family Cable tier.

The 13-inch MacBook Air might’ve found a match in the 13-inch Samsung 9 Series, which is slightly lighter and thinner than the Air though the differences in size and weight are extremely minor. Weighing 2.89 pounds, it is only slightly lighter than the Air, which weighs 2.9 pounds.

In the latest episode of The Ben Heck Show on element14, modder Ben Heckendorn has built a kinetic wind-up charger for Android phones. For the project, Heck used a wind-up flashlight and a micro USB adapter, along with some solder, a Zener diode and a 10Ohm resistor.

Mozilla and Google have taken the FTC's advice and give users a Do Not Track option when browsing. The former's Firefox and the latter's Chrome browsers will let users click a box that will then disable the browser's ability to track browsing history that is then used to send out targeted ads.
