Netbook TV Tuner to be Launched MaxLinear and Hauppauge Digital are working together to create a UMPC and netbook TV card. The netbook TV card will allow HD signals to be received over the air. The tv tuners for the netbook are based on the MXL5007T CMOS silicon tuner that MaxLinear builds.

Kodak will release the new Zi8 HD ultra-portable camcorder in September 2009. As a successor to the Zi6 and the Zx1, the new Zi8 comes with a larger 2.5-inch LCD, a face recognition, an image stabilization, and a 1080p HD recording. Users can also upload pictures directly to YouTube and Facebook.
