Clearwire Communications announced that it will launch CLEAR 4G in eight cities in Texas, as well as Boise, Idaho and Bellingham, Wash. on September 1st.

Cowon E2, a screen-less new PMP is being ready-ed by Cowon. Comes in a similar design with iRiver NV, Cowon E2 arrive in a compact dimension and sleek look. No words on its specs yet, but hey its just a screen-less DAP, so don’t expect too much except low price.

Oh, look, a legitimately clever use of the iPhone, and one that’s not hard at all to replicate at home. Essentially, you set your iPhone on a raised surface, then you snap away using the phone’s camera. Congratulations, you’ve just created an inexpensive document scanner.

To dispel any disbelief in Apple’s rumored tablet, an analyst claims to have seen a prototype of the gadget in person. The analyst, who remains anonymous in the story, told financial publication Barron’s that Apple’s tablet could be introduced in September for a November release.

We always knew that Nikon was a leaking ship, adrift in the digital camera sea, but this latest leak proves it. Why bother with embargos and NDAs when most of the info leaks out early anyway. First, it was the D5000, then the D300s and now all these Coolpix cameras that aren’t official yet.

It looks like we have our first real news on the rumored Apple tablet.  Hooray! An analyst, who wishes to remain anonymous of course, has revealed to the financial publication Barron’s that the Apple tablet will be introduced either this September or November.

Hitachi have unveiled their latest networked projector, the CP-X3010N.  Based on the existing X3010, the new projector boasts 3,000 lumen brightness, a 2,000:1 contrast ratio and 16W integrated speakers, but throws in wired ethernet connectivity and optional WiFi b/g.

Huzzah! Verizon knows what’s up. The prices of its smartphones have been slashed, cut, and discounted down to iPhone 3G levels. Every single smartphone - expect for the new BlackBerry Tour and Samsung Saga - can be had for $99 or less on-contract.

Images of the Click first appeared on the Interwebs a few weeks back and PC World is reporting that Dopod will launch the low-end Android device later this year in China. However, Dopod has plans to launch the Hero this month before the Click goes live in Q4.
