The Amazon Kindle DX is one of the coolest gadgets that has hit the market in a long time. One of the only real drawbacks to the Kindle line that I can see is that they lack a backlight so you need a light to read in a dark room. Perhaps future versions will get a backlight.

Them Engadget boys went for a walk in the outer reaches of IFA and came up with the some iPod cases with holes in the back for a camera. As I’ve said before I have no idea what is going here.

Every computer user really needs external storage for making backups. Many computer users never back up their data and have no way to get their important documents back if the computer fails unexpectedly. External storage is needed to allow users to back their data up.

The only game console that we don’t have in my house is the DSi. The portable system looks cool and the only real reason we don’t have one is that I can’t talk one of my kids into asking Santa for it. The DSi certainly has some cool looking games.

Amazon is making good after killing copies of 1984 for the Kindle. As you recall, Amazon had to recall the electronic version of the book for copyright reasons. Purchasers will receive a copy of the book for the Kindle or $30 in credit for Amazon products or a check.

You read right. Sony’s Walkmen are selling more units than Apple’s all-powerful, all conquering iPod. In the week ending August 31st, Sony’s share of portable music player sales hit 43%. The iPod struggled at a terrible 42.1%.

This remote controlled car is capable of transforming in to a robot. By hitting a button on the remote control the hood and front wheels elevate about 10″ in the air and expose a canon that fires suction cup darts. Five darts can be stored inside and they can be fired in rapid succession.
