Microsoft, Tesco offer web-based movies in the UK

Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it has teamed with UK-based retailer Tesco to bring out a new service that will provide customers with DVD-quality movies delivered to them over the web using Microsoft's Silverlight technology.

Google and Hasbro have teamed up to develop a new online version of Monopoly that makes use of Google Maps. Monopoly City Streets features many of the same concepts as traditional Monopoly - you start off with a set amount of money and can buy/build houses and hotels.

We have seen quite a few rumors over the last couple of weeks, and even some pictures earlier today of Apple’s new iPod Touch, well it is now official, Apple has updated its iPod Touch, although there is no built in camera as was previously rumored.

Well there you have it folks, Apple's big announcement at their media event today was not of their forthcoming tablet; but Steve Jobs himself took the wraps off of a new iPod Nano with an integrated video camera. Tech details are light, but expect a media frenzy to follow shortly.

We just got our hands on the new iPod nano. What we can tell you is that it looks and feels exactly like the previous generation - except that it has a video camera on the backside and the screen is slightly larger.

There are some sweet upgrades just announced for the iPod touch, but… no camera. I guess Apple felt that would make it too good. What we have seen is a serious upgrade to the hardware.

Whatever happened at the “It’s only Rock and Roll and We Love it” event I am totally dissapointed with some of the news from today Apple Rock and Roll event, while I like the idea of FM tuner and the Camera built-in on the iPod Nano, I don’t see any logical reason for scrap...

Apple (AAPL) has announced the launch of a new iPod Nano, unlike the new iPod Touch this one does feature a built in camera as previously reported. The built in camera is capable of recording video in H.264 VGA at a resolution of 640 x 480 at 30 frames per second with AAC audio.

Today Apple hosted an event where they presented a new iPod nano (see above) and the new iTunes 9. It features new sharing opportunites, the new iTunes LP (where you get a full album experience ), iTunes extras (where you get special features for movies).
